
Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Robert D. Marcus has served as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer of Time Warner Cable since January 2008. In that capacity, Marcus is responsible for all of the company’s financial functions, including accounting, financial planning & analysis, tax, treasury and investor relations. In addition, Marcus oversees the company’s mergers and acquisitions, business affairs, programming and human resources departments.
Marcus joined Time Warner Cable in August 2005 as senior executive vice president, responsible for the company’s legal, mergers and acquisitions, business affairs, programming and human resources functions.
From 1998 until he joined Time Warner Cable, Marcus held various positions at Time Warner Inc., most recently serving as senior vice president, mergers and acquisitions.
From 1990 to 1997, Marcus practiced law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, where he was one of Time Warner Inc.’s principal outside corporate lawyers.
Marcus received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1990, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and editor of the Columbia Law Review. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Brown University in 1987.
Marcus serves on the board of New Alternatives for Children (NAC), a New York City-based not-for-profit organization.
